Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint is a matte, vapor-permeable masonry paint for outdoor use on mineral surfaces. It has excellent adhesion on difficult surfaces and can be applied down to +2 °C.
Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint contains film-protecting anti-fungal agents and has good weather resistance. The paint is particularly suitable for masonry, concrete, and plaster, both untreated and previously painted. It is not suitable for use on super-eternit fiber cement.

Pre-treatment
The surface must be clean and dry. Clean with Gjøco Kraftvask (Heavy-Duty Cleaner) to remove
grease and impurities, then rinse with clean water. Old loose paint, lime, loose plaster, and dust must be removed by wire brushing/scraping. It is important that
the surface is firm to ensure good adhesion. Surfaces must be dry before
further treatment, and plaster repairs must cure for at least 4 weeks before
painting.
Application
Apply 1–2 coats of Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint as needed. On highly
absorbent surfaces, the first coat can be diluted with up to 5% water or primed
with Gjøco Primer for masonry and concrete.
When using Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint on fiber cement, adhesion must be tested with a test patch. Does not work on Super-eternit due to adhesion problems.
Masonry without moisture barriers, such as cold walls and freestanding walls, can cause flaking due to high moisture penetration. In unfavorable drying conditions, such as high humidity,
fog, rain, or low temperatures, shiny and slightly sticky streaks may appear on the
paint film. The streaks consist of water-soluble substances and disappear with rain and
weather exposure. The protective properties of the paint film are not affected.
Colors:
Use the same batch number on the same coat and surface to avoid differences in
gloss and color. Buckets where paint is mixed on different mixing machines and/or at
different times can result in shade differences. Be aware of this if more paint is needed later for the same project.
Storage:
Close the lid tightly when storing paint to prevent spills and drying out.
The paint must be transported and stored upright, dry, and frost-free.
Waste management:
Liquid paint must not be poured into drains or into nature, but must be taken to an approved collection site for hazardous waste. Empty, clean, and dry plastic packaging without handles can be delivered as plastic waste.
