Field of application:
Suitable applications include repairing sheet metal damage on cars and caravans, certain repairs on boats, and for gluing and repairing iron, ceramic, stone, steel, wood, etc.
Instructions for use:
Stålplast Micro comp. A should be mixed thoroughly with 2–3% hardener comp. B on, for example, a glass or wooden board. Do not mix more at a time than can be used within 4–5 minutes.
Application:
Stålplast Micro is applied with a steel or rubber spreader. The optimal working temperature is +20°C. The working time is then about 5 minutes, and the curing time is approx. 15 minutes. Clean work tools and the mixing board after use with ethyl acetate or thinner.
Finishing:
After approx. 15–20 minutes, Stålplast Micro is ready for sanding. With a body file or sandpaper (P.80 or finer), the cured plastic can be sanded smooth. Stålplast Micro must cure (approx. 25 minutes) before the surface is exposed to temperatures above +70°C. Extremely easy to sand (regardless of age).

What surfaces is Stålplast Micro suitable for?

How long does the filler last?
The shelf life is 1 year in an unopened container. A major advantage of Micro is that it is extremely easy to sand regardless of age – even old, hardened filler is easily sanded.
What does 2-component filler mean?
You mix comp. A (the filler) with 2–3% comp. B (the hardener) on a glass or wooden board until a homogeneous color is obtained. Only mix as much as you can use within 4–5 minutes.
How much filler do I need?
The filler is applied in thin layers. For individual damages, 180 ml is enough for many repairs. Choose 550 ml or 1.3 L for larger jobs or multiple damages.
At what temperature can I apply the filler?
The optimal working temperature is +20°C. The filler must cure for approx. 25 minutes before the surface may be exposed to temperatures above +70°C, e.g., during stove enameling.
Do I need to prime before I fill?
The surface must be dry, cleaned, and free from rust and loose paint. Sand with sandpaper and degrease with thinner. Separate priming is not normally required for this filler.

Can I do the filling myself or do I need a painter?
The product is easy to use due to its low weight and extremely easy-to-sand surface. Suitable for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. Careful mixing is required due to the short gel time.
Pre-treatment
The surface must be dry and well cleaned. Sand off rust and loose paint with sandpaper. Degrease with thinner and wipe off thoroughly before application.
Application
Mix comp. A with 2–3% comp. B until a homogeneous color is obtained – only mix as much as will be used within 4–5 minutes. Apply with a steel or rubber spreader in thin layers at +20°C. Allow to cure for 10–15 minutes and sand after 15–20 minutes with a body file or P.80 grit or finer. Let it cure for approx. 25 minutes before exposure to heat above +70°C. Clean tools with ethyl acetate or thinner immediately after use.
