-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpapers bubbling when you hang the new ones. A suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-When applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
