-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpapers underneath bubbling up. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's Primer for wallpaper. Once you have painted, sand lightly and wash off with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
