-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new wallpaper. A suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash off with painter’s wash.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
