-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with insulating/blocking paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper you are going to cover bubbling up. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
