The industrial style is all about creating a tough, raw look using building materials and vintage items that are both functional and stylish. -The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or drywall dust.

-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new one. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun Wallpaper Primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with a sugar soap solution.

-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
