-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all layers of old wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new one. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's Primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash off with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
