Description
Nordsjö Tinova Wood Base Oil is an impregnated wood preservative (PT8) used on new or bare scraped wood.
Nordsjö Tinova Wood Base Oil PT8 is a non-film-forming base oil that penetrates the wood and counteracts moisture absorption, which reduces the risk of cracks.
Nordsjö Tinova Wood Base Oil may only be used above ground as a preventive treatment on wood against rot fungi and blue stain fungi.
Treated wood must be overpainted after 24 hours. Painted surfaces must be maintained regularly.
BPR reg. no. EU-0028968-0000. May only be used in use classes 2 and 3 according to EN335:2013. Any other use is prohibited unless specifically authorized.

Application Description
For planed wood, sanding is recommended before oiling. New wood is impregnated with Nordsjö Tinova Wood Base Oil PT8.
Recommended application quantity: 150–160 ml/m2.
Ready-to-use product that should not be diluted.
1. Apply 1 coat with a brush or roller, and allow to dry for 24 hours.
2. Prime the entire structure with Nordsjö Tinova Primer Exterior. Not for staining.
3. Finish the structure with 2 coats of a suitable wood facade paint from Nordsjö's outdoor range.
Repainting:
1. Previously painted surfaces should be washed.
2. Loose paint and grey wood should be scraped/sanded away.
3. Glossy surfaces should be sanded matte.
4. Bare wood surfaces are impregnated with Nordsjö Tinova Wood Base Oil PT8.
5. Finish painting as above.
Health & Safety
Reseal opened containers well. Scrape oil off tools before cleaning. Do not pour oil into the drain, even when cleaning tools.
Liquid residues and washing liquid should be taken to a hazardous waste collection point. Empty packaging should be taken for recycling and sorted as metal.
Do not use indoors, with the exception of exterior window frames and external doors. Do not use on wood that may come into direct contact with food or feed.
