Product Description
Application
The product is ready for use – no thinning required.
- New unplaned timber: 2 coats
- New planed timber: 3 coats
- Previously stained, opaque stained, or painted wood: 1–2 coats; 3 if necessary on planed timber
- End grain: Saturate thoroughly with 3–4 coats
Applying multiple layers? Do so within 2 weeks for best adhesion.
Storage
Close the lid tightly after use. Store and transport the paint upright, dry, and frost-free.
Waste Management
Liquid paint residues must be taken to an approved collection site for hazardous waste – never pour into drains or nature. Empty, clean, and dry packaging should be taken to an approved receiver.
Things to consider
- Stir thoroughly if oil has risen to the surface.
- Mix the contents of cans with different production numbers to avoid color and gloss differences.
- Avoid application in direct sunlight – sun on a wet or semi-dry surface can cause blistering.
- Dew or high humidity at low temperatures can cause dull spots.
- Fire-retardant treated cladding may cause peeling – always perform a test coat.
- Surfaces treated with linseed oil or linseed oil stain must be cleaned down to bare wood before application.
- Previous tar treatment can cause discoloration – perform a test coat.
