Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint is a matte, diffusion-open masonry paint for outdoor use on mineral substrates. It has good adhesion on difficult surfaces and can be applied at temperatures as low as +2 °C.
Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint contains film-preserving anti-fungal agents and has good weather resistance. The paint is particularly suitable for masonry, concrete, and render, both untreated and previously painted. It is not suitable for use on super eternit.

Product description
Pre-treatment
The substrate must be clean and dry. Clean with Gjøco Kraftvask to remove
grease and impurities, then rinse with clean water. Old loose paint, lime, loose render, and dust must be removed by wire brushing/scraping. It is important that the
substrate is solid to ensure good adhesion. Surfaces must be dry before
further treatment, and render repairs must cure for at least 4 weeks before
painting.
Application
Apply 1–2 coats of Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint as needed. On highly
absorbent substrates, the first coat can be thinned with up to 5% water or primed
with Gjøco Primer for masonry and concrete.
When using Gjøco AquaShield Premium Masonry Paint on eternit, adhesion must be tested with a trial application. Does not work on Super eternit due to adhesion problems.
Masonry without moisture barriers, such as retaining walls and free-standing walls, can lead to flaking due to high moisture penetration. In unfavorable drying conditions, such as high humidity,
fog, rain, or low temperatures, glossy and slightly sticky streaks may appear on the
paint film. The streaks consist of water-soluble substances and will disappear with rain and
weather exposure. The protective properties of the paint film are not affected.
Colors:
Use the same batch number on the same coat and surface to avoid differences in
gloss and color. Buckets where paint is mixed on different mixing machines and/or at
different times may produce shade differences. Be aware of this if more paint is
needed for the same project later.
Storage:
Close the lid tightly when storing paint to prevent spills and drying out.
The paint must be transported and stored upright, dry, and frost-free.
Waste disposal:
Liquid paint must not be poured into drains or the environment but must be taken to an approved collection point for hazardous waste. Empty, clean, and dry plastic packaging without handles can be disposed of as plastic waste.
