Elastic acrylic sealant for sealing and repairing cracks and holes both indoors and outdoors.
Gjøco Akrylfog Proff is a 1-component elastic acrylate-based sealant that dries through the evaporation of water. The product has good adhesion to most building materials such as concrete, wood, metal, glass, plastic, and painted surfaces. Akrylfog Proff does not discolor surrounding materials and is paintable with most paints available on the market.

Product description
Akrylfog Proff is used indoors in joints around windows and doors, wall and metal sections, ventilation and pipe penetrations, as well as for sealing gaps and cracks to prevent air leakage.
The product can also be used for filling joints and sealing seams when installing plasterboard, as well as for minor repairs or sealing of wooden facades, e.g., during repainting. The product has sound-dampening properties (acoustic sealant). Under optimal conditions, Akrylfog Proff can be used for bonding polystyrene boards and similar materials, as well as a water-based construction adhesive for most building materials.
It can be applied to damp surfaces but should not be used for joints exposed to constant water contact, e.g., in pools and water reservoirs. If the joint movement exceeds ± 10% (expansion/compression) of the joint width, highly elastic sealants are recommended.

Pre-treatment:
Joint sides should be clean and free from oil, grease, and loose particles. Metal surfaces should be degreased and loose paint sanded off.
Dimensioning:
For joint movements, the center depth should not be less than 5 mm.
Backing:
Use a closed-cell backing rod that does not absorb water. The rod should be 3–4 mm thicker than the width of the joint. Use a blunt tool to avoid damaging the rod.
Priming:
On highly absorbent surfaces, the joint surfaces should be primed with a mixture of 1 part sealant and 2 parts water. The primer should dry for approximately 1 hour at +20°C.
Application:
Apply Akrylfog Proff with a caulking gun or pneumatic spray gun. Press the sealant against the surface to avoid air pockets. Smooth out immediately after application using a suitable tool such as a rubber or steel spatula, dampened sponge, or brush. Protect the joint from moisture during the first few days. For outdoor applications, the joint should be covered.
Cleaning of tools:
Tools should be cleaned immediately after use with water. Remove stains and spills in the same way. Cured sealant is removed mechanically.
Waste management:
Sealant and wash water must not be discharged into the sewage system or nature but should be taken to an approved collection point.

Application method:
Use a caulking gun or pneumatic spray gun to apply Akrylfog Proff.
Application temperature:
Optimal application temperature is between +5 °C and +30 °C.
Surface dry:
The surface becomes dry to the touch after approximately 30 minutes.
Fully cured:
Complete curing is usually achieved after 1–3 days, depending on the joint dimension, humidity, and temperature.
Paintable:
Akrylfog Proff can be painted over with most common paint types after 1–3 days. It is recommended to perform a test, especially when using matte paints, as there are many different types of paint on the market.

Storage:
Store Akrylfog Proff for at least 24 months in an unopened package at temperatures between 0°C and 25°C. The product is freeze-thaw stable down to -18°C.
