With Falu Rödfärg Träfasad, more people can now realize the Falu red dream. The modern linseed oil-based facade paint provides the correct flat matte finish in colors that naturally harmonize with the Swedish landscape – and thanks to the linseed oil base, it adheres to unpainted wooden surfaces, distemper-painted wood, and wood with alkyd or linseed oil paint, on both rough-sawn and planed timber.
Pre-treatment The surface must be dry, clean, and free from loose paint, dirt, and algae. Scrape off loose paint and wash if necessary. Let the surface dry completely before starting to paint.
Application Stir the paint well before use. Apply with a brush in the direction of the wood grain. Apply 2 coats with at least 12 hours between coats. Paint in shade or diffuse light – avoid direct sunlight and extreme heat.

Do I need to prime? No, Träfasad adheres directly to most wooden substrates without a separate primer. On very absorbent or previously unpainted surfaces, an extra coat may be recommended.
