AREA OF APPLICATION
Substrates:
• Ferrous metals, e.g., steel, cast iron, etc.
• Various coatings (e.g., powder or synthetic resin paints) after prior testing. belton® free radiator paint is not suitable for direct application on galvanized substrates.
APPLICATION
Protective measures:
belton® free has a very low odor. Nevertheless, we recommend using it in well-ventilated rooms.
Pretreatment:
All substrates must be clean, dry, and free from rust and grease. Sand the substrate first: Treat rust-free and bare metal areas with a suitable primer.

Preparation:
Shake the can thoroughly for 1 minute from the time the mixing balls strike. For technical reasons, the dip tube in an unused can contains a small amount of propellant. Therefore, spray briefly before first use. Perform a test spray. Painting must only be done on cold radiators or objects (at room temperature).
NOTE!
Surfaces and objects that are not to be painted must be covered or masked off carefully.
Spray coats: 2 spray coats = approx. 40 µm dry film thickness.
Flash-off time: approx. 15 min. at 20°C
Spray distance: 15 – 25 cm
Drying: The data below refers to a dry film thickness of 40 μm (2 spray coats), a temperature of 20°C, and a relative humidity of 50%. Dust-dry: drying level 1 according to DIN 53150 55 min. Touch-dry: drying level 3 according to DIN 53150 approx. 3 h
Recoatable:
With itself within 1 hour or after 1 day. Like all water-based paints, the drying times for belton® free are highly dependent on the ambient temperature and, above all, the relative humidity. Low relative humidity leads to shorter drying times, high humidity to longer. Info: Wipe the nozzle after spraying or during long breaks so that the spray head does not stick.
After finishing work:
After finishing, turn the can upside down and spray the valve empty. Disposal: Dispose of fully empty spray cans as recyclable material.
