Herdins Oil Stain is a ready-to-use stain solution consisting of pigmented oil. The oil stain is not as transparent as traditional water-based stain or varnish stain, but instead provides a more even coloring. The oil stain provides good base protection while giving the wood surface a soft and tactile feel. An oil-stained surface is also easy to repair. Simply sand away the damaged area and apply new Oil Stain. It also has a longer open time than varnish-based stains, making it more suitable for larger surfaces, such as floors.
The stain is available in 11 different shades and is very easy to work with—soft, pliable, and efficient, which makes it go a long way. NOTE! White oil stain may yellow due to the influence of the substrate and color changes in the oil components.
