Description
Don't forget the foundation when it's time to repaint outdoors. Beckers Sockelfärg is a full-matt waterborne topcoat used for painting house foundations made of concrete, cement plaster, and fiber-reinforced mineral boards. The paint provides a beautiful matte finish, is easy to apply, and dries quickly. Paint your foundation with a paint that resists weather and wind and keeps the color vibrant for a longer time.

Wash dirty surfaces. Scrape or brush away loose paint. For old, thick, and cracked paint layers, the paint should be removed completely. In case of poorly bonded plaster or crumbling plaster, re-plastering or repairs should be considered. Minor cracks can be repaired with a suitable repair mortar, i.e., a mortar that is not harder than the substrate. New plaster and concrete should age for approx. 2 months before painting. Any form oil and cement laitance on new concrete must be removed.
When painting on a previously unpainted surface, apply 1 coat with Sockelfärg diluted by approx. 10%.
Painting
Finish with 1-2 coats of undiluted Sockelfärg. If a coarser texture is desired, texturing agents can be added.
Important
Stir the paint before use if necessary. The substrate should be dry during painting. Ensure there is no abnormal moisture load from the inside. Do not paint on sun-heated surfaces. Do not paint when there is a risk of rain or dew within a few hours of completing the painting.
