Beckers Perfekt Plus Facade, DISCONTINUED, while stocks last. DARK COLOURS ONLY

Ensure the surface is in good condition before painting by washing it with Beckers Utomhustvätt (Exterior Wash) and using Alg och Mögelmedel (Algae and Mold Remover) if necessary. Brush or scrape away loose paint or cracked paint layers, as well as porous, grayed wood. Round off sharp corners and edges. Planed surfaces and hewn logs must be roughened with coarse sandpaper before painting. Sand glossy, hard paint surfaces to a matte finish. Treat end grain, joints, and nail heads with Primex Grundolja Plus (Primex Primer Oil Plus). Wipe away any excess after 30 minutes. Then prime the entire facade, including the end grain, with Primex Trägrund Plus (Primex Wood Primer Plus). When repainting surfaces in poor condition, all surfaces must be primed with Primex Trägrund Plus; this also applies to repainting old alkyd and oil-painted surfaces. PAINTING ON FACTORY-PRIMED PANELS: Panels purchased factory-primed with Pinja Protect G/GM from Tikkurila Sverige AB can be considered to have sufficient base protection. Our recommendation is to apply a topcoat of Perfekt Plus Facade: 2 coats at 8-10 m²/l on factory-primed panels, or 1 coat at 6 m²/l on pre-coated surfaces. Note that factory-primed panels exposed to weather and wind for more than 10 months need to be primed to ensure full protection.

Apply 2 final coats of Perfekt Plus Facade. Apply generously; see our instructions on paint consumption. Also paint end grain, joints, and nail heads carefully. If using a sprayer or roller, the paint should be finished with a brush.

Rinse the facade with clean, cold water. Apply Beckers Utomhustvätt, diluted according to the recommendations for the intended purpose. Scrub the surface and then rinse thoroughly with water.

In hot and dry weather, the detergent can dry out. Water (soak) the facade before applying the Exterior Wash. Therefore, wash smaller sections at a time. Surfaces exposed to mold should be allowed to dry thoroughly after cleaning with Beckers Utomhustvätt.

Then apply Beckers Alg & Mögelmedel, diluted according to the recommendations for the intended purpose. Let the surface dry.

Please note that Beckers Utomhustvätt can have an etching effect on glass. Cover windows carefully before washing the facade. High-pressure water can also be used to wet and rinse the surface, but remember to direct the spray along the facade, not directly at the surface, so that dirt and water are not forced into the facade.

When maintenance-washing painted surfaces, they must be in such good condition that they do not absorb water immediately during cleaning (a little water always penetrates). If the surfaces are in such poor condition that they absorb water, i.e., the surfaces become dark, we recommend repainting. Always start washing from the bottom up. Use municipal water pressure when washing wooden facades.

Our recommendation is that cleaning agents should always be rinsed off thoroughly. Note that Beckers Alg & Mögelmedel should not be rinsed off. For more information, contact your nearest Beckers retailer.

Stir before use! The substrate must be dry when painting, with a maximum moisture content of 16%. Do not paint on sun-heated surfaces. Also, do not paint if there is a risk of rain or dew within 1-2 hours after finishing painting. NOTE! When spraying, use a filtering half-mask against solid and liquid particles (FFP2).
