-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new wallpaper. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash off with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type in point 3 above.
