-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or putty dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling up under the new wallpaper. A suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s Primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with paint cleaner.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type described in point 3 above.
