-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you haven't removed all old wallpaper layers, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash with paint cleaner.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type in point 3 above.
