-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with insulating/blocking paint. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpapers underneath bubbling. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash with a painter's cleaner.
