-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old wallpaper layers, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper you are wallpapering over bubbling. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type in point 3 above.
