-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all layers of old wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall with an insulating/blocking paint. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new one. Suitable paints include Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
