About the product
Biokleen Deck Wash ECO is environmentally certified with "Bra Miljöval" (Good Environmental Choice) and is the first step in the BIOkleen wood protection system. The product is especially effective for cleaning pressure-treated wood with heavy deposits of dirt, soot, and algae. It provides a perfectly clean surface for treatment with BIOkleen Deck Protection ECO – without damaging the wood's surface layer or dissolving the lignin.
Suitable for: Pressure-treated wood, pine, and other outdoor decking materials.

How to use
Wet the surface with water and apply the agent using a brush. Let it work for a few minutes. Then scrub with a brush or a pressure washer with a deck cleaning attachment until the deck is free from deposits and cleaning residue. Work in 2–3 m² sections at a time.
Keep in mind:
- The product can etch glass and aluminum – cover sensitive surfaces
- Avoid misting when applying with a low-pressure sprayer
- Let the surface dry thoroughly before proceeding with Deck Protection ECO

Which surfaces is the product suitable for?
Biokleen Deck Wash ECO is suitable for pressure-treated wood, pine, and other outdoor decking materials with heavy deposits of dirt, soot, or algae.
How long does the cleaning last?
We recommend deck washing at least once a year. Follow up with Deck Protection ECO and Surface Sealer for long-lasting protection.
What does vapor-permeable mean?
Deck Wash ECO is a cleaning product and not a surface protector, so vapor-permeability is not relevant here. For surface protection with vapor-permeable properties, see BIOkleen's Surface Sealer.
How much do I need?
Expect about 1–2 L per 10 m². For 30 m², you need about 3–6 L, and for 50 m² about 5–10 L, depending on the degree of soiling.
What temperature can I use the product in?
The recommended outdoor temperature is 10–20 °C. Preferably use in cloudy weather so the product does not dry too quickly.
Do I need to prime first?
No – Deck Wash ECO is the pretreatment itself. Let the surface dry thoroughly after washing before applying Deck Protection ECO.
Is the product environmentally friendly?
Yes – the product is environmentally certified with Good Environmental Choice and optimized to clean without damaging the wood or the environment.
Can I use the product myself or do I need a painter?
You can easily use the product yourself with a brush or pressure washer with a deck attachment. No professional expertise is required.
Pretreatment
No further pretreatment is needed – Deck Wash ECO is the first step itself. Ensure the surface is free from loose particles and that sensitive surfaces such as glass and aluminum are covered before you begin.
Application
Wet the deck surface with water. Apply Deck Wash ECO with a brush or low-pressure sprayer (avoid misting). Let it work for 2–3 minutes. Then scrub with a brush or pressure washer with a deck attachment until the surface is clean and free from cleaning residue. Work in 2–3 m² sections at a time. Let dry thoroughly before proceeding with Deck Protection ECO.
