Hagmans Water-Based Wood Oil Premium – Deep-penetrating protection for outdoor wood
Hagmans Wood Oil V Premium is a water-reducible wood oil specially developed for untreated or previously oiled outdoor wood. It penetrates deeply into the wood, provides a water-repellent surface, and effectively protects against drying out and cracking – season after season. Can be tinted for the desired look.

Instructions
Pre-treatment
The surface must be clean, dry, and sound. Use a steel brush, scraper, or sandpaper to remove loose or degraded wood. Wash with Hagmans Deck Cleaner and supplement with Hagmans Maintenance Cleaner if there is any mold or fungal growth. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Application
Apply with a brush, sponge, or cloth until the wood is saturated. Apply to entire boards one at a time for an even color. Wipe off any excess after 5–10 minutes. Repeat if necessary. Avoid treatment if rain is expected within 24 hours.
After application
Wipe tools thoroughly and clean with water and a little dish soap. Seal the can tightly and store out of reach of children.
NOTE: Contains drying oils – risk of spontaneous combustion of rags. Soak used rags in water or burn them.

How long does the oil last?
Durability depends on exposure, wood species, and the condition of the substrate. Generally, maintenance treatment is recommended every one to two years for the best protection against moisture, drying out, and greying.

How much oil do I need?

What temperature can I apply it in?
Minimum +5 °C. Avoid application if rain is expected within 24 hours or in direct sunlight on hot surfaces – the oil needs time to penetrate properly.
Do I need to prime?
No, Hagmans Wood Oil V Premium acts as both a primer and a topcoat on clean, dry, untreated, or previously oiled wood. Apply until the wood is saturated.
Is the product environmentally friendly?
The oil is water-reducible with a low VOC content (130 g/l), making it more environmentally friendly than solvent-based alternatives. NOTE: Rags containing drying oils can spontaneously ignite – soak them in water or burn them.
