2-component paint for masonry substrates.
Gjøco Poxydekk is a low-odor, water-based 2-component epoxy paint for indoor use. The paint forms a waterproof, durable film that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents. Resistance to acids is somewhat limited. Can be tinted to the desired color. Gjøco Poxydekk can be used on masonry, concrete, and mineral surfaces in laundry rooms, utility rooms, basements, staircases, garage floors, warehouses, workshops, industrial premises, gas stations, and floors and walls in animal enclosures.
Not suitable for surfaces subject to movement, such as wood and metal.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pretreatment
The surface must be clean and free from grease. Newly poured floors must cure for at least 2 months before painting. Cement laitance on concrete must be removed before further treatment, either by machine sanding or acid etching. In rooms with floor drains, acid etching can be used. Use a 10% hydrochloric acid solution and rinse thoroughly with water. The surface must be firm. Previously painted surfaces should be washed with Gjøco Kraftvask / Husvask or another suitable detergent. Follow the instructions on the packaging.
Substrates with membrane curing agents can cause poor adhesion. Therefore, check adhesion or remove the curing agent before further processing.
Application
Use the same batch number on the same layer to avoid differences in gloss and color. Gjøco Poxydekk should be stored at room temperature for one day before use for better application properties. Parts 1 and 2 are mixed well with mechanical stirring. The first coat can be thinned with up to 10% water and used as a primer. The mixture must be used within 30 minutes to prevent the paint from hardening in the can and becoming difficult to apply.
Please note: Thick layers can result in a matte film. Ensure good ventilation during application and during the drying time. Poor ventilation and low ambient and substrate temperatures during application can cause matte spots.
When used outdoors, e.g., on balconies, it should be used during the period from May to August. High humidity/dew in early autumn and low temperatures can cause poor curing.
May yellow and chalk in sunlight.
When using dark and vibrant colors, a coat of GjøcoPur TL or a thin coat of unpigmented Poxydekk Base C is recommended to seal the paint and avoid chalking.
Storage
The product must be transported and stored dry and frost-free. The product must be transported and stored upright.
Other information:
The paint is not frost-resistant. Use the same batch number on the same coat to avoid color and gloss differences. The finished epoxy film may yellow and become slightly matte over time if the surface is exposed to sunlight. Epoxy becomes less flexible over time and should therefore not be used on surfaces that are subject to movement, such as wood, as this can lead to cracking.
The product must not be used on damp substrates or exposed to moisture before and during curing.
Safety:
The product can cause contact allergy, and suitable gloves, work clothes, and safety goggles must be used.

Max. recoating interval: 24 hours at 20°C. For longer intervals, the surfaces should be matted down to ensure adhesion.
Fully cured: 6 days
Application temperature: min 12°C on the surface and in the air. When used outdoors, the period from May to August is recommended.
