Description

Nordsjö Tinova Primer Exterior is a water-borne primer for new and maintenance painting of exterior wood structures. It penetrates deep into the surface, counteracts moisture penetration and cracking, and ensures optimal adhesion for subsequent wood protection paint. Nordic Swan Ecolabelled and environmentally friendly.

Application instructions

The surface must be dry (max 16% moisture content) and well cleaned.

New painting:
For best results, new wood should be impregnated with Tinova Wood Base Oil. Prime the entire structure with Tinova Primer Exterior and then finish with 2 coats of Nordsjö wood protection paint.

Repainting:
Previously painted surfaces must be washed and rinsed. Scrape/sand away loose paint and greyed wood. Impregnate bare wood surfaces with Tinova Wood Base Oil and prime with Tinova Primer Exterior. Finish the structure with 2 coats of Nordsjö wood protection paint. Stir the can thoroughly.
Do not paint in direct sunlight, below +5°C, or at high relative humidity (above 80%).

Tools: Brush, roller, sprayer.

Health & Safety

When sanding or using a heat gun, paint layers may release hazardous dust and/or fumes. Work in well-ventilated areas.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (respirator) if ventilation is inadequate. Also see the information on the Safety Data Sheet.

Reseal opened cans tightly. Remove paint from tools before cleaning. Clean used tools immediately after painting. Do not pour liquid paint residue or wash liquid into drains; take them to a collection point for hazardous waste.

Empty packaging should be taken for recycling.

This declaration applies to the white colour. For other colours, the numerical values may vary. This product meets the requirements for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Minimize your paint waste by estimating how much you need in advance. Take care of leftover paint so that you can use it again.

By using leftover paint, you effectively reduce the product's environmental impact throughout its life cycle.
