-The wall must be solid and clean, free of loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old wallpaper layers, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper underneath bubbling. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash with painter's detergent.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
