-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all layers of old wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing primer. This is to reduce the risk of bubbles forming in the old wallpaper you are covering. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with a sugar soap solution.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be a uniform shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
