On relatively new felt roofs\/asphalt substrates, there is a risk of asphalt bleeding through. This generally only happens during the first coat. However, felt and asphalt surfaces may feel soft for up to a week after treatment. A test patch should be applied to previously treated surfaces to ensure good adhesion.
