The best adhesion is achieved when the joint is well filled during application without air pockets, and the joint surface is then pressed down during tooling so that the material has full contact with the contact surfaces. Tool the joint immediately after application to ensure full contact and tightness against the joint sides. Tool the joint with a joint tool dipped in a mild soap solution. Too much soap can affect the time until the joint becomes tack-free. Ensure carefully that the soap solution does not get between the joint side and the sealant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter about 40 minutes, a surface skin forms and the joint becomes tack-free. Full curing is achieved after 2-10 days depending on the thickness of the joint.
