For new painting, treat end grain, nail heads, and joints with Primex Grundolja Trä Plus (Wood Primer Oil Plus) before the entire facade is primed with Perfekt Trägrund Plus (Wood Primer Plus). Therefore, cover windows carefully before washing the facade. A high-pressure washer can also be used to water and rinse the surface; remember to direct the jet along the facade, not straight at the surface, to prevent dirt and water from being forced into the facade. When maintenance washing painted surfaces, they should be in such good condition that they do not immediately absorb water during cleaning (a little water always penetrates). If the surfaces are in such poor condition that they absorb water, i.e., the surfaces become dark, we recommend repainting. Always start cleaning from the bottom up. Use municipal water pressure when washing wooden facades.
