Loose paint, stain, and wood fibers are removed by scraping\/brushing. On planed wood, glossy surfaces, side edges, and joints on exterior paneling, wire-brushing\/sanding may be necessary to ensure adhesion. To achieve the best possible edge coverage, round off sharp edges before priming.
